The Alarm Center system receives incoming alarms from individual wind turbines and wind turbine parks. Alarms are received through modem connections, active monitoring via internet connections, or via SMS-alarms. The Alarm Center supports a wide array of turbine models and manufactures.
The Alarm Center solution consists of a server which collects all incoming events and stores them in an SQL-database. Notifications of alarms are automatically generated and forwarded to technicians, operators, and owners via e-mail or text message, based on roster settings.
The system provides a multi-user interface which allows operators to monitor and handle all active alarms in parallel. This enables all users to monitor the status of any alarm and any actions taken to correct the issue.
A graphical interface is available for the Alarm Center solution. The monitored turbines are presented on a map with geographically correct locations. This enables the Alarm Center operators to better get an overview of the location of wind turbines with alarms.
Furthermore it is possible to actively monitor service vehicles on the map along with turbines, giving on-duty operators the possibility to keep track of the service teams. This ensures that the right service team is dispatched to the correct turbine, minimizing downtime and optimizing service vehicle usage.
